Heritage Drives & Landscapes recently completed a complete garden renovation in Stratford upon Avon, West Midlands, transforming an ageing and outdated garden into a beautiful, practical, and low-maintenance outdoor living space.
The project centred around replacing a large timber decking area that had deteriorated after more than 20 years. The old decking had become twisted, uneven, and rotten, making it unsafe for everyday use. Our experienced landscaping team carefully removed the existing decking and installed a premium porcelain patio with an attractive brick border, creating a stylish outdoor space that perfectly complements the property.
To ensure effective water management, we also installed channel drainage around the patio, allowing rainwater to drain away efficiently while protecting the new paved area. For added character and functionality, railway sleepers were used to create decorative flower planters, providing an attractive feature that enhances the patio while beautifully showcasing the homeowner’s plants and flowers.
The completed garden now offers the homeowner a modern outdoor living space that combines elegant design with practical features. With its premium porcelain paving, decorative brick edging, efficient drainage system, railway sleeper planters, and professional landscaping, the garden is both visually appealing and built to be enjoyed for many years to come.

I had a large area of 20+ year old decking which was starting to dangerously twist, sag and rot. Compared with other quotes, both for repairing or renewing decking, or for replacing with suitable drainage and new porcelain patio like this, it was a very good deal. All the rubbish was cleared, and the site left tidy. If it wasn’t for some pesky public holidays, it would have been even quicker!”
